Melissa R. Beresford

Melissa Beresford is an associate attorney, who joined the firm upon graduation from law school. She concentrates her practice on tax controversies, representing civil and criminal clients at the examination, appellate, and litigation levels.

During law school, she was active in community service, providing over 120 hours of pro bono work. Her experiences included the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, Volunteer Legal Clinic, Marquette Foreclosure Mediation Program, and Alternative Spring Break Trip to New Orleans. She continues to make community service an integral part of her life.

Prior to law school, Melissa worked in professional sports. She is still a sports fan and enjoys cheering on the Brewers, Packers, and Golden Gophers.
